In The Front of My Bible

Not long ago I posted what was in the back of my Bible (See October 2007 post.) Let me tell you what I have written in the front of my Bible. It's a quick survey of the Bible to help you see the big picture.
Christ is the Bible's grand subject and central theme:
  • The Old Testament:
*Sets the scene for Him
*Creates the need for Him
*Predicts His coming

  • The Gospels:
*Record His arrival and ministry
*Record His death, burial, and resurrection

  • The Book of Acts: *Describes the immediate impact of His ministry
  • The Epistles: *Delineate the long term significance of His life and ministry
  • Revelation: *Details His future return, judgment and reign
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also, I have this survey written out in the front blank pages of my Bible. Again, it's another survey of the Bible to help you see the lay of the land.
  • The Old Testament Records The Preparation For Christ
  • The Gospels Record The Manifestation of Christ
  • The Book of Acts Records The Propagation of Christ
  • The Epistles Record The Interpretation of Christ
  • The Book of Revelation Records The Consummation of Christ
Hope that helps you in seeing the big picture of Scriptures. Christ truly is the central theme of all Scripture. He longs to be the central theme in your life!
You're in my prayers,
Bro. Royce
