Climatic Conclusion
Revelation 16,17, 18, 19. Yesterday's reading was chapter 16. Today's reading is chapter 17 with the weekend's reading consisting of chapters 18-19. Due to the Christmas holidays and spending time with family, I'm not blogging in depth on these chapters, but I do want to give you the basic thought in each one.
16:1-9: First four bowls of wrath, but no repentance.
16:10-11: Another bowl, and still no repentance.
16:12-16: An empty Euphrates: Invitation to Armageddon.
16:17-21: The earth shakes; hail falls.
17:1-18: Religious Babylon Destroyed.
18:1-24: Commercial Babylon Destroyed.
19:1-6: The Heavenly Hallelujah Chorus.
19:7-10: The Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
19:11-16: The Glorious Appearing of Jesus Christ.
19:17-21: The Battle of the Great Day of God Almighty.
These chapters present a climatic conclusion for this age. Chapters 20-22 will be the grand finale.
I hope this helps in your reading for yesterday, today, and over the weekend. We will close out Revelation next week, and then begin a new Bible reading plan for the new year. Details coming soon! God bless and have a great weekend!
